Archant London Press Ball in
aid of Help A London Child

A spectacular “Black and White” themed evening, taking place at The Brewery and organised by Archant London, promises to be one of the charity events of the year.

Over 400 guests, including those from the media and corporate world, and a host of celebrities are expected to enjoy the “Black & White Ball” evening. The evening is to be hosted by renowned Gold FM DJ David ‘Kid’ Jensen and will include live performances from a host of acts including 80's rock band The Blow Monkeys who come straight from their nationwide tour and CD release, for what promises to be a fantastic evening of entertainment.

Our target again this year is to raise significant funds for Help a London Child.

Help a London Child supports children in London dealing with abuse, illness, disability and homelessness. The charity relies on donations, and events such as this ball to sustain the funding it needs to help the children. Last year’s Press Ball was a fantastic success and combined with the money raised from 2006, we have raised over £ 68,000 for the charity.

Andy Davies who is resident on the Jonathan Ross Show on Saturday mornings is the evening’s charity auctioneer. With a selection of prizes to be won and auctioned, the evening is set to be an unbelievable night of fun-filled entertainment with all proceeds going to the Help a London Child charity.

To avoid disappointment please apply as soon as possible by contacting the Marketing Team. For information on sponsorship or table bookings please go to the appropriate pages on this website.

The Charity

halcGold Radio’s Help a London Child improves the lives of thousands of vulnerable children living in our capital city. London is not only one of the wealthiest cities in the world, but it is also home to children suffering from abuse, poverty, homelessness, disability, and illness. Help a London Child specialises in funding grass roots projects and supporting their work to improve the lives of these children.

In the last 30 years over 10,000 grants have been awarded to children’s and young people’s projects in every London borough.

With 1 in 2 children in inner London living in poverty, the need for the service is great.  Help a London Child needs to raise over £1 million to continue the work it does and relies completely on donations and events such as the Archant Ball to achieve this.
